Winter Wonders...

Are you in the holiday spirit yet? It has been warm, grey and rainy around here, quite unusual for this time of year and making it a little harder to get into that winter wonderland feeling. I've teamed up with Flora and Henri, on Pinterest, to bring you some of that magical winter inspiration. I would love it if you had a peek. It's a little bit Christmas but a whole lot of awesomeness.

And if you are looking for a lovely place to do your online shopping, Flora and Henri has a great selection of clothes, toys, books and even a little something for you. I'll be doing most of my shopping there this year.

So follow along ( Pinterest is being sneaky these days and not showing all my pins to everyone!) and repin some images to get you inspired too. See you there!

Sleepy King... Cuteness Overload

Sleepy King is a small shop with the cutest handmade plushes, pillows, accessories and wall hangings. Everything is made by the designer in California with love, attention to detail and sustainability in mind.

I love the little embroideries and the colors, I love the simplicity and the happy feeling these give me. Looking for some one of a kind gifts? Check out Sleepy Kings webshop for more cuteness overload.

Glass and Brass Co

I am loving these balloon lights by Glass & Brass Co. I remember some very similar ones were around when I was growing up and I loved them back then. What a cute way to add a touch of fun and whimsy to a kids room.

This Etsy shop carries all kinds of cool lighting for every room of the house.

They happen to have these cute pebbles pillow cases too, perfect for a reading nook or for pillow fights! Fun stuff!

What We Wear... Summer Edition

Sometimes being the kids of a blogger turns out unexpectedly extra fun! I think my kids end up trying new things and doing random things we would have probably never done as "regular" kids. One of those things are photoshoots and trust me they don't always go as planned or very smoothly. As the kids get older, it gets easier, but I think this time it was more fun for many reasons:
- i got the kids involved and we made funny necklaces with peppers.
- i let them run around and be crazy ( most of my photos came out blurry).
- i shot some videos and for some reason my kids don't mind shooting videos. Expect a mini movie real soon.
- they knew a nice treat was on it's way.

I was supposed to post before I left for vacation but I had lost the photos and thankfully found them again this week. So here is a little peak at what we've been wearing this summer and will continue to wear into the fall...

We LOVE our Wolf & Rita tunic from Ladida ( check it out it's 70% off), it couldn't be more fitting for MissE as I like to call her "felfel hara" which means hot pepper in arabic.

The biker shorts are from Joe Fresh, the sandals Zara and the Upcycled Men's blazer made by me.

MisterM is wearing a super soft tunic top from Neige provided by Ladida,  some La Miniatura bermudas I got from Haute Look and a Scotch Shrunk cardigan, shoes from H&M

Be assured the peppers got eaten too, the kids were more excited for those than the ice cream!

I received both tunics courtesy of Ladida and love them to pieces- so be sure to check out Ladida's new fall lookbook it will have you dreaming and wishing it was fall already. Seriously, they have a great selection of designer and a really nicely curated shop with the best selection out there.

Little Handbury

Let's hear it for the boys!!! Anybody else have a hard time shopping for boys? I have to say things have improved in the last couple of years but I still find it hard to find the right balance between fashionable and wearable!

LITTLE HANBURY is an online shop dedicated to boys age 2 to 10 and it's beautifully curated.  I've put together some of my favourite pieces together here for you but you will want to have a look for yourself.

It's fashionable and ever so wearable. It has that right balance I was talking about. Some of my favourite designers stocked in the same shop. The selection is just perfect-  I could buy every single piece. Oh and trust me I am picky and even pickier about my boy stuff.

Your one stop shopping for boys right this way...

MILLER  is one of these children's clothing labels you just can't help but love. Is it the simple styles with sophisticated details? Or perhaps the lovely prints and amazing color combinations? Or simply the lush fabrics? Well,  it's no wonder they were accorded the Junior Award for best emerging talent!

This London based company only offers the best, in design, quality and craftsmanship. It's all in the details, from pin tucks to pleats, as well as lots of volume in the dresses and skirt. And how sophisticated are the boys styles? I really do love it all. Let's not forget the impeccable styling and fresh photo-shoots.

In honour of their Junior Magazine award Elias & Grace is hosting a contest on their facebook page (you have until the 28th) where you can win a £500 shopping spree- check it out, I just entered!

In case you don't know Elias & Grace, I highly recommend you check out this online shop- it is simply lovely. They carry all the brands you love and of course Miller which happens to be their own label. I guarantee you will fall in love with their outfits and it's a real fun shopping experience. Also, their summer sale has started- hurry things go quickly!
Happy Shopping!

Window Shopping at FLORA and HENRI

Do you have a favorite online childrens shop? The kind you could spend hours looking through all of the gorgeous items and dream you could buy every single piece? I do! FLORA and HENRI is just that shop. Not only is all the clothing and the accessories beautiful but the images and the styling are simply captivating. I could spend hours I tell you!

It was in 1998 that Jane Hendreen envisoned an American kids collection ( from Seattle) that would be pure, simple and exquisite with European quality and craftsmanship-  FLORA and HENRI is just that.

Everything is all so lovely, from the collection they create under their own label FLORA and HENRI, to the impeccable choices from some of my favorite brands such as Lischen Mueller, April Showers and Wovenplay- not to mention all the sweet accesories, shoes and toys from Jess Brown, Pepe, and H-Luv just to name a few.

I love all the knits from the sweaters to the bloomers for all ages. The dresses are dreamy with sweet embroidered details. And the swimsuits... really I'm speechless. The color combinations are fun and sometimes surprising, but it all works together oh so well. They are lot's of items for babies, girls and boys to wear and play with.

So do you have a few hours to spare?!? Have a look at FLORA and HENRI's beautiful website and discover the wonderful world of children's design... at it's best.

As much as like black and grey, when it comes to decorating my kids rooms I love colors, any color, and a whole lot of it too, I like to mix and match colors and patterns, through in some new and vintage items in there too. So if you are anything like me, I think you will love Sunday In Color.

This new little online store based out of San Franscisco is filled with just the most adorable toys and kids accessories, all in bright colors and playful patterns. I don't think I saw anything I didn't like, seriously not one! Sonia, the owner is a lover of all things colorfull and her selection right on. You should totally check out the About Us page, just too cute... mmm  I might have to steal the idea!

If you are looking for a one stop shop for some cute christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, this might just be it! Designer of the Year.... LM

I cannot possibly end this year of blogging without showcasing my FAVORITE 2011 designer, blogger creator, artist, dream maker, magician... LIESCHEN MUELLER.

You have no idea how I wish I could buy everything she makes for Miss E... You have to be quick, her creations are sold out as soon as they hit her online store!

I check her blog daily, just so I don't miss anything, wether it's her new creations,  to get a glimpse of what she's working on next or perhaps just to see the quirky videos she posts here and there...

I admire her creativity, she never ceases to amaze me... She is not a trend follower, but a avant-gardiste, a trend setter, a true artist.

I can't wait to see what's in store for next year (click here for a sneak peak)... Thank you LM for making this one a delightful year!

I heart... MiniBulles

I've been obsessed with these rabbit and mushroom night lights for a little while now, I first saw them a couple years ago in Paris, but unfortunately had no room in my luggage to bring them back. The good news is that there's this really neat online concept store for kids that carries them, MINI BULLES, and it's based right here in Montreal!

But MINI BULLES doesn't only have lamps... They have a whole lot to love! They carry all the cool stuff you didn't know you could get here in Quebec, as well as some awesome local designers. They have room decor, toys, school supplies, gifts and much more....
Are you Still looking for some gifts, they have a great selection, check out their amazing lunch boxes or the Calafant cardboard kits.
If you are from Montreal, you can even give them a call... Now that's service!

Did you see my advent calendar choice today? It was from MiniBulles as well....
