I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.
— David Bowie

I am sewing a long with the ladies of Sew Geeky and giving tribute to the wonderful David Bowie. You'll be seeing post over the next few weeks in his homage. For my inspiration I choose THIS image which I came across on Pinterest. I felt like it fit my aesthetics and knew right away what I wanted to make: a striped button up shirt and some dungarees.

I used my Loverall pattern ( yes I am working on the pattern grading as we speak)- this will be the third option. You can see more options HERE. I upcycled an old pair of maternity jeans- eeeek I had just enough and did some creative fabric cutting. The lighter blue and darker are some stretch denim I had on hand. I think I need help with the clasp, I have no idea how they go on! haha.

Next I made a button up shirt, I hacked my Friday Dress pattern ( this will be my next pattern after the loveralls)- You can see more examples of the Dress HERE & HERE. I used a thin stretchy striped poplin. Hell to iron! It creases just looking at it. Maybe baby snaps was not such a good idea. The teal and floral cottons are from Art Gallery Fabrics Littlest collection. To my surprised MissE loved the top!

We had fun with the photoshoot and kept running from room to room to try and do a double exposure for the first photo up top, but it didn't quite work out. I ended up doing some photoshop collage. The floral fabric in the backdrop is from Mood, I am not sure what I will be making with it yet- any suggestions are welcomed!
