I did a little more sewing today for KCW, I upcycled a white linen skirt I had in my recycling pile and made MissE another summer dress.
I used the tiered Dress/ Top pattern from the Happy Homemade: Sew Chic Kids book, it couldn't be any easier. I only used the top tier pattern piece since the rest of the dress was already sewn up as a skirt. And THAT is why I love upcycling!
MissE is loving all her new dresses. She asked me if she could wear to school, that is always a good sign. Yes I know it's white, but since this dress cost me literally nothing, I really don't mind if she wears it to school. Worse case if it gets dirty, I will just dye it. Or even better dip dye it.
And today I thought I would get some brighter photos, it was sunny all day. Of course just as I picked the kids up from school it got grey and started snowing, yet again! So I will embrace the grain in my photos and love them all the same!
In case you missed YESTERDAY Day 1's post, you can enter the GIVEAWAY until Monday noon. Please spread the word, tell your friends- I have two sets of these books to give. All you have to do is follow the instructions on the rafflecoptor. Good Luck!
I'll be back tomorrow with some more upcycled goodness. Happy Sewing!
