I am on taking part of Shorts On The Line today, hosted by Carla of Small&Friendly and Rachael of Imagine Gnats. You will want to check out their blogs to see what everyones has been sewing and maybe add some of your creations to the Kollabora website for your chance to win some great prizes. P.S. I am judge!

I am not sure about you, but summer is coming to an end here - school starts in a couple of weeks and soon our mornings and nights will start to become chilly. So i thought it would be fun to show you how to style your shorts so you can wear them well into the winter months.

I remixed the Clover Shorts from Willow & Co and turned them into culottes. If you haven't noticed culottes are the next big trend, for moms too.

I used a fun pear print which is a linen/ cotton blend found on Miss Matatabi. It really is the cutest and so easy to work with.

For the summer edition I paired the shorts with some sandals- Zara, a basic tank- Petit Bateau, a chunky belt- ZidZid and our favourite summer hat- H&M.

To transition into fall and to be ready for back to school I added some legging- American Apparel, little black patent flats- Zara, and a long sleeve T-shirt- Joe Fresh

You can keep adding layers as the days get colder. Here MissE is wearing a vest- Scotch & Soda, it adds a little sophistication, don't you think?

Finally, for the colder months pair your shorts with chunky tighs- Stella MacCartney for Gap, a button up shirt- Joe Fresh, a vest- Scotch & Soda and booties- Zara

Chunky sweaters are always a great staple in any wardrobe. This one is handmade and thrifted at my local Value Village. I bought it when MissE was a baby and knew it would be perfect one day.

Now you can wear your shorts all year round! In the meantime don't forget to enjoy what's left of summer.

Sharon from Mamasha / Zonen is posting today too- check out her awesome shorts.
