Did you sew your Spring Bunny yet shared by Toya the other day? As much as the bunny is super cute with no clothes on, we thought it would be nice if it could have a little outfit to parade in. Even better one that could match your daughter's too! So I downsized my Tip Top pattern and create a bloomer to go with it.
You can find the patterns and instructions for both bunny clothing items here in the shop.
The back is open, as it was the easiest way for me to close such a small top. Of course feel free to sew it closed and leave a big enough opening for the head. I did try to put some elastic in the neckline, however it was a very clumsy process and opted for a bias finish instead.
The bloomers are pretty straight forward. You can opt to leave an opening in the back seam so the bunny's tail can peek out.
And would you be interested in a bloomer pattern for older kids? Let's say 2T to 12? I would totally wear bloomers if they came in my size! This would be a free pattern of course.
MissE was really excited to have the same clothes as her bunny. She did ask me where her black star bloomers were. I had to explain that the top I upcycled didn't have enough for me to cut out a pair for her.
Now excuse me If I spam you with images!
You can make MissE's bunny year with a tutorial I made HERE.
