What a month it has been! November was crazy busy with all the partying around the sewing world. I hope you had a chance to see all the amazing creations made from the Petit a Petit pattern for the Block Party. Talk about some cool kids and lucky they are to have such amazing moms. Some super stylish clothes full of flair and whimsy! Spectacular details, fabric and colours. So how do you top that? I think you've seen my version of these patterns time and time again! I figured I would give you a small glimpse of what is coming in 2017. After many intricate and over top patterns, I think it's time to go back to the basics and create some building blocks to help you create a capsule collection or to fill the gaps in your child's wardrobe. So here I present to you the Day by Day collection.

You can see the clothes in action in the little video below.

Some everyday pieces, that mix and match well together to create a fun collection. Perfect transition pieces from winter to spring and summer to autumn.

The Drop Shoulder Tee

First up, the drop shoulder tee, with a high low hem and split side seam. You know it will come with many options, like different sleeves and a dress length. Loose enough to make in a thicker knit too. Cute for the boys, of course.

The Slip dress...

perfect for hot summer days or perhaps to layer and mix and match your favourite prints. Make for a really cute nightgown too. The must have fashionable piece of the season. It will come as a camisole and with a few other different options.

The Midi Skirt

The not so circle skirt. This skirt will come with two hem options, one that will give the skirt a more cocoon and unusual shape and one large band hem for creative colour blocking. The cocoon shape is shown below. Optional suspenders and inseam pockets are another fun feature. Without the extra hem, the skirt becomes a basic semi-circle skirt. Perfect for twirling!

The Slim Pants

The slim knit pants, will come with some fun front and back seams and will have optional pockets. Perfect for color blocking again and playing with prints and patterns.

The Raglan Top

Finally, the raglan dress/cardigan/sweater will be your must go to pattern for comfy tops. Fun inseam front pockets and a high low hem for added flair. A basic with a twist. Perfect for boys too, as they will be a little less tight than pictured here.

Perfect for fleece and midweight knits. Your kids will want to live in this. There will be a great option for boys too.

Of course this is just the start, a few more intricate pieces will be added and maybe a swimsuit or two as well. I am so excited and have more ideas than time. Luckily I have Emi & Ines to help me out. We are so excited to share all our projects with you all.

Now we would love to know which pattern we should start working on first?

Be sure to come back next week for the Block Party and After Party, as well as the giveaway winner! Yay! It's going to be good- promise.
