After Holli's post on going to art galleries & mueseum with your kids and Andreia's bag tutorial inspired by the artist Szoke it was only natural for me to talk to you about the latest Bobo Choses collection inspired by the arts.
The collection is entitled Der Blaue Reiter, and is inspired by the world of modern Art, it celebrates colour as a spiritual gift through an intuitive, spontaneous approach to painting.
Prints pay tribute to artists like Matisse, Picasso, Pollock and Hockney. Fauvist pears, big bold still-life fruits and embroidered artists' portraits along with more abstract designs like colorful fluid motifs and bohemian painted stripes. They have also collaborated with some of the best children's designers: Babaà, Veja and Sons+Daughters developing exclusive knits, sneakers and sunglasses for this season.
The colour palette for this summer collection is fresh and soft all at once, it spans from delicate peaches to deep blues. All the colours intermingle for a rich world and summer of fun. This season the collection screams childhood and innocence.
The silouettes are simple with lot's of basic and staple pieces. The textiles and prints are really the star here. Mix and match them, as crazy as it may seem it all works together perfectly. Lot's of fun knits are incorporated too which adds texture and comfort to the wardrobe.
All in all a really vibrant and fun collection... as always!
