Generator Fall 2012

I wasn't going to talk about the fall collections just yet, I thought it was a little early and who really wants to think about the cold weather to come just yet? But then I saw this fantastic collection for boys and girls from japanese label Generator, I could resist... SWOON!

Do you need to live in Japan to dress your boy like this? I just love a blazer on a little boy, paired with some jogging pants or how about those rolled up dark skinny jeans... love love love it all.

Orange is the accent color for this fall... How sweet are these outfits? I'm loving the color combinations, the florals and that khaki jacket. How about that little girls bob? Sweet, sweet and sweeter. I can't wait for Miss E too grow a little so she can wear a maxi skirt...

Now if only I could live in Japan, I think I'd be in heaven... it really is my dream destination, I love everything about the culture, the food and the fashion.

Thanks Jennifer Hagler for bringing Generator to my attention!

What's in your closet? Miss E ***special edition***

This edition of "what's in your closet" is a special one and it's dedicated to the wonderful Maia Larkin.

Honestly, I was little hesitant in writing this post and didn't want to share my FAVORITE little shop, only because I wanted to keep it all to myself. You have probably seen Maia's daughter Q around the web or perhaps on their wonderful blog The Voyagers. Q is simple the cutest and ever so gorgeous, she always seems to be in such good spirits and simply has the best wardrobe- ever! Maia has a resale shop, The Wanderers Closet, where she sells some of her and Q's old clothes and that is where I got Miss E's summer wardrobe.

Miss E now has the most wonderful clothes from the best children's designers. The linen dress is from Suvi Ainoa, it is simple gorgeous, I love the details on the back and I love that Miss E will be able to wear it for the next couple of years.

This little black dress is from Bo de BO, a french label that makes the best dresses ever and this is another piece we will cherish for years.

This jumpsuit is from Thais et Thibère, I love the sweet floral pattern and especially the colors combinations. It's a little big, but that won't stop us from wearing it... we just added a little elastic belt!

I also got a few pieces from VDJ, a linen blouse and dress, and once again the craftsmanship and quality is remarkable... and we got the cutest Mexican kelly green blouse. We LOVE LOVE LOVE it all...

Now I didn't buy everything, although I could have and you know where I'm shopping in the fall, right?

We even got a few little extras... Maia is also very talented Illustrator and designer, this dress is one of her lovely creations which you can find in her Etsy store, Club Oceanus and we also received some lovely prints from her other etsy store The Voyagers. I'll have photos of those as soon as I get organized and show you Miss E's room. These were all extremely generous gifts and we can't thank you enough Maia and Q!

Mishmash Friday no.20

I'm feeling very inspired this morning, I think this week was filled with beautiful images around the web... so I give you 6 posts in one! This should keep you busy over the weekend...

These magnificant photos have been circulating like crazy this week, it's no wonder Chanté Vaugh did such such an amazing job with little Kayla, I thought I'd spread the love even more! You have got to check out the rest of this photoshoot, simply gorgeous.

Have you heard, Polka Dot What just came out with their summer capris leggings and they are just as cute! "Create what you want" and choose a different pattern for each leg, I still LOVE the concept and I love the new colors!!!

Maybe it's too early to be talking knits, but I just love these scarves and leg warmers from Cabbages and Kings. Handmade with the softest wool and in the most amazing patterns and colors possible. I ALMOST wish it was fall already!

Papier Mache issue 18 is out and is fabulous, it always is! Loved every page... can't wait for the print issue to come out! My favorite shot was by Anna Moller and it made me discover Honor Dunn a really really amazing line of knits for kids, little Eero.

A new little Etsy shop opened, Cauliflower Kids, by one of my favorite pinners Kasey Kushinski. You will find some really cute trendy pieces for your little girl, I love the cascade dress.

Have a great weekend!!!

Nice To Meet you... EMILY ULMER

It's an interesting world, the blogging world that is! I have been following this wonderful Tumblr called The Little Ones and every time a new post would come up I couldn't help but want to reblog it to my own Tumblr. The photography, the colors, the mood, the subject matter really captivated me. I thought I recognized a few shots but wasn't too sure, so I messaged the creator only to discover it was Emily Ulmer's Tumblr. If you read Papier Mache and La Petite, than you've seen her photos. Do you remember last falls Nico Nico's look-book? That was her too! I absolutely love her style and her unique eye... Natural and not fussy, what kids photography should be!

How great is the effect in these photos above, perfect for this high in color summer we are having...

And here's a little sneak peek below... a very few favorites of mine...

Come be amazed by the wonderful world of children's photography on her Website, you should definetly follow her Tumblr, and maybe even buy a print in her Etsy shop...
Now if only I lived in L.A., I would have Emily take pics of my little family. Or perhaps one day, if I ever get the courage to style a photo shoot, I'll get to work with her... A girl can dream!

I could really use some cute accessories to spruce up Miss E's wardrobe this summer! There nothing cuter than some vintage items to make her outfits stylish, unique and one of a kind... Look at what my favorites are this week:

1. How lovely are these red moccasins? These vintage Minnetonka are from Sink or Swim treasures.
2. How cute is this little fawn button pin? I would put it on a hat or a jean jacket. Find it at Isantiik.
3. Love these elephant hair clips. From Petits Habits.
4. I think I found by boat hat!!!  From Best Favorite Things.
5. Rock it out in these 1968 sunglasses. From Good Merchants.
6. I LOVE these buster brown oxford shoes and the red laces is a cute detail. From Homespun Vintage.
7. This little basket would be great for bringing a snack to the park. From Beastly Lettuce.
8. This swimsuit is too cute for words, I love the colors and the tutu detail. From Captain Cat.
9. Who doesn't need a color block suitcase for sleep overs at grandma's? From Oopsee Daisies.
10. These vintage sandals are sweet. There are a few different sizes and colors and are like new, too bad none are Miss E's size. From Minnie Vintage.

It's Friday and I'm exited for the weekend! Tomorrow is my 6 year wedding Anniversary and my kids are sleeping over at my moms, so hopefully I'll have some quality time with my awesome husband and the best part is that we get to sleep in on Sunday!!!
Have you heard Figgy's is giving away this PDF pattern of the circle skirt, all you have to do is download the file from their blog. It comes in kids and mom sizes! They are also holding a competition... Make the skirt your own by modifying it, take some photos, add them to the Flikr group and you run the chance of winning some interesting prizes! For more details go to their blog. I think I might participate, the first prize is pretty cool, I wouldn't mind winning that!
We love music boxes in our house, but this is just toooo cool! A moving musical train... I wish I could find where to buy this! Check out the creator Ricardo Seola's website.

I must get Miss E a boater hat. this kid is just too cute and so is her outfit from this French label, Quenotte.

I can't forget to take out some scarf for Miss E to wear. This cute look is from this amazing American Label, BabyLady Inc. You might want to check out their summer and fall collection.

More great Sales over at Line+Liv. This top is from Lischen Muller, I love everything she creates.

My kids love their ice cubes and playing with them, imagine if they had these polar bear and penguins ice cubes, they would go crazy!

Have you ever seen such a cute radish? Check out Myriam Balay Devidal's website for lot's of inspiration...

Is it lunch yet? That gif is making me hungry... I love the simplicity of the illustration.

I'm going crazy...

... for all the good deals!
Let's be honest here, I blog about all these beautiful kids clothing and accessories and the truth is I can't afford any of it, blogging about them is my way of stratifying my needs! Truthfully, I can't even afford most of it on sale... However, this year my Mom is traveling to Europe and as she always brings back a little something for the kids, she suggested I buy some things online, that I love, and have them shipped at my Aunts who lives in Paris or at the Hotel she'll be staying in Spain. Now who's the luckiest girl in the world? ME.

Here's a look at what I got the kids... it wasn't easy finding things in the right sizes everything is going soooo fast!

Loja Dada, was my first stop... this little online shop from portugal carries the cutest brands such La Queue du Chat, Ada Ada, Kidcases, Mini Rodini, just to name a few and I was able to find some Bobo Choses in the right sizes. What is amazing about this shop is that her shipping rates are great even for International shipping!

Smallable, just on of the coolest kids online shop, they carry ALL the cool brands. I got a Nico Nico tee for Mister M, these organic tees are simply amazing, trust me we own a few and I love them. As for Miss E I got her this CdeC dress, I think this will be what she'll wear for her birthday party. Now you won't find these items because I got the last ones ( at an amazing deal!).

Little Fashion Gallery, is just as cool as Smallable, between the two they carry all the best brands children's wear has to offer. Now watch out LFG has a 70% off section with their last pieces, if you are lucky enough to find the right size you can get some amazing deals. However, watch it is highly addictive, they add new items everyday at 15H Paris time or 9AM Montreal time...

This time around I got some of my favorite summer items: Mister M got a Finger in The Nose Safari shirt, maybe you saw this in my La Petite Magazines selections. I also got Mister M some necklaces, one Wovenplay Wolf and a Tatty Devine Anchor, he always wants to do like his sister and wear a some jewelry and it's really hard to find some good boy accessories!

Miss E got a Soft Gallery body suit, I am so excited I got it a little big so she can wear for an extra long time. I just love this little bow necklace by tatty Devine and how could I go wrong with this Bobo Chose Blouse for only 11 euros, perhaps you remember tis pattern from my Snow White Outfit!

Milk & Soda is the coolest accessory online shop for kids. It is all the way in Australia, but their shipping rates are great too. What is great about shopping in Australia is that you get to shop for their fall and winter stuff, so the kids won't have to wait too long before they can wear their goodies! I got all this myself, I'll keep it for the kids Birthdays in August and November...

So are you going crazy for the sales like I have? Let me know if you know of any good deals, I think we get an extra pay check this month, right?

Hello....

A weeks rest does the body good! Although my body is still fighting an allergy attack to who knows what, at first I thought is was the dye in these new towels we got at work, but then I'm thinking it could be mustard which I've eating my whole life... all I know is that I'm still breakin in hives and rashes here and there and the medications is making me soooo droooowsyyyyy.
Well that didn't keep me from doing some easy going stuff with the kids and here are some photos of our long weekend... Happy Belated Canada Day to all my Canadians followers :)

We finally went to the wading pool... 3 days in a row! The kids LOVE it there. We even crashed someones picnic and ate some of their watermelon!!!

The kids got new school bags (which I embroidered at work), to take to daycare. Mister will be going to the "beach"  twice a week, it's a man built lake with a sandy beach right here near downtown  Montreal. And Miss E will be enjoying some water activities at the daycare all summer long.

So of course they needed some large backpacks to put their towels, bathing suit and new Native shoes, which I HIGHLY recommend...

We went to the Atwater Market, like we do almost every Sunday... we had croissants and coffee, we walked around and looked at all the fruits & veggies, I bought a fashion magazine "Lula", which I loved, we got some sausages for our new BBQ, we threw some rocks in the canal and I made Miss E a crown from some wild flowers. I wish the photos came out better, but I guess that's what you get for forgetting your camera at work and are stuck using your iPhone!

And I just had to share this photo of MissE... she just won't leave the house without a hoodie or her Adidas track jacket. Does anyone else have that problem?  I keep telling her it's hot outside, but she just won't listen.
