NOVALEE... Issue 2

The second issue of Novalee Magazine is out and I'm so happy to see how it has evolved... I enjoyed the first issue, but this second one is even better! Still cutting edge and raw with lot's of  peace, love and rock & roll attitude.
You'll find some great photography, fashion, styling inspiration and must have items for the boys and the not too girlie girls... It's going to be one Hot Fuss this summer!

Here's what caught my eye...

As you flip through the pages, check out Chantale Park's photos, they are of my hometown Montreal and you might want to check Flannery O'kfka photo of her daughter,  it's gorgeous.

Enjoy!

La Petite Magazine... Issue 8

Check it out Issue 8 of La Petite Magazine is out!!!
After a few months of hard work it's finally online and as usual, it doesn't dissapoint!!! This time around La Petite found inspiration in the shifting sands and rippling designs of the desert...
There are some amazing photo shoots, great tips for decorating you little ones room, some DIY projects, a great selection of new books to get, lot's of fashion and inspiration to pull from.

I've selected a few of my favorite shots... and you might want to check it out and discover how I contributed this time around (but I'll have more on that later)...

page 118

Now you might already know but I have a thing for animated gifs, so it will come to no surprise that one of my favorite shoots is "What To Do Today?", I really enjoyed the styling, hair make-up and the animations of course!

I think that this is my favorite photo... from "Join The Circus".

Take a look at the black & white photos in this series, and I love that the white shirt is at center stage...

I think Mister M needs some green in his room... love the little details in this one.
Such a simple and cute DIY projects, the kids can even  help and choose what they want to showcase on their wall assemblage... By Summer Roberston of Fawn & Forest.

LOVE the Mini Olympics photoshoot... high in color and humour.

All about your ABC's... Kristin Theiss always makes the best book suggestions.

We Want Know do it again with a great photoshoot... love the styling and the background collages with the urban landscape.

Honestly, I could keep on going, but I think you should check it out for yourself and see what moves and inspires you... come back and let me know!

Happy Reading!!!

Is it Friday yet? Oh me oh my what a week I had! Miss E hasn't been sleeping well and keeping us up for part of the night, I got into a small car accident, I'm officially working full time again although my back isn't 100%... But at least the weather has been good! Needless to say, I've posted very little this week and I'm so sorry. I promise to catch up!

I haven't done one of my mishmash lists in a little while... here are a few things I liked around the web this week.

These magnets are perfect! I think Mister M would love them too. Via Snug

H&M's kids Home selection ( coming out this summer ) is seriously AMAZING... Unfortunately it's not available in Quebec, but I think I might get my aunt in Paris to get this bear bedspread for Mister M, his room needs some serious help! Via

I came across this KicoKids image on Pinterest and just had to know more- I discovered this lovely little shop and ...

....this car. I think I'd get it for me! Floris Hovers at Buisjes & Beugels

I need to crochet this wand for Miss E.... Via Phildar

Do bad these vintage swimming trunks are too small! Via Little Part on Etsy

Love This dress form Etsy seller Harriet's Haberdashery

Magazine Luv... Travel JAM

Travel Jam is a fairly new luxury magazine that is dedicated to the world of kids, fashion and travel. Previously the issue was printed, however for this 4th issue they decided to make it a FREE online magazine for all of us, wherever we happen to be, to enjoy...

In this issue a few things caught my eyes...

First, how lovely is this shot?
Secondly, Miss E owns this little dress thanks to Marie from Le Carrousel and it's simply gorgeous...

I happen to have a thing for head scarfs and a collection of vintage ones... unfortunately they look terrible on me, but luckily they look amazing on Miss E.

They have a few luxurious travel guides in a few cities I would love to visit... There is nothing wrong with dreaming, right?
This particular photo was taken in Marrakech, if you can I highly recommend visiting Morocco, it's an extremely inspiring country.
I really hope to go back with my little family sometime soon, some of my close family lives there. Last time I visited Morocco was 2 years ago, Miss E was only 6 months and Mister M was a TERRIBLE 2 and half... I'll spare you the details!

 Love this...

If I surfed, I'd want a Chanel board... I don't surf and I want a Chanel board!

There is lot's more to discover, not too many pages, great layout and streamline graphics, quality images and lot's of dreamy goods for the kids and you. Enjoy!

DIY Mother's day gifts... Last minute!

Last year I rounded up some Easy DIY Mother's day gift idea for dad to do with the kids, you should check them out, because I still think they are great ideas!

This year, I thought I would do a little of the same with some new and fresh ideas. These DIY projects are easy enough for the kids to do, help & participate.

What you need: porcelain ( vintage or new) and a porcelain pen.

My suggestion: get a mug and have the kids doodle on them... I would bring mine to work:)

Via Better Home & Gardens

What you need: some pipecleaners and bit's and pieces of yarn.

My suggestion: have the kids make simple shapes like a heart or spell out MOM for them. LOVE is great too.

Via Bloesem Kid

What you need: an elastic, cardboard, some paper and a whole puncher...

My suggestion: put some photos of the kids and have them doodle on a few pages or even on the cover.

Via Dotcom for Moms

Beautiful DIY printable children's book about Mother Nature created by Mari from Small for Big.

What you need: a printer, some paper, some cardboard, an exacto knife, some glue.

My suggestion: Have dad do this one on his own while the kids create a card or drawing, unless your kids are a little older and they can help out with the glueing. I know my kids would be fascinated just to be part of the process and seeing it get put together. Don't forget to have mom read the story to the kids when she gets it!

Via Small for Big

You're not too crafty but still want something handmade... This is just perfect for you!

What you need: a printer, a sheet of paper and a frame.

My suggestion: have the kids draw on some paper and wrap the frame in it!

Via Colour Me There

Voilà... Happy Mother's Day!!!
