This is a DIY project I would love to try, we just need to buy a house first and it better have a large backyard!
I found this cardboard Cubby/ Club House while searching the net and although it dates back to 2008, I still thought it was worth sharing... This was created by Marcus Trimble from Super Collosal as part of a project for a trade show, where 6 architects where asked to create a "Sustainable Room" and this Flat-Pack Cardboard Cubby is what they came up with. I love it!
Look now you too can build your own... My mission as of today: LOOK OUT FOR EXTRA LARGE CARDBOARD.
I'm sure we can set this up at the park, right?
Check out their plywood version too, so cool!

I love how cardboard can be turned into the most fantastic things. My children have done that a lot, and I remember it from my own childhood too.
ReplyDeleteNowadays my daughter experiments with loads of exciting materials, while she's studying to become an architect. I love when she comes home and shows us all the many fabulous projects she's working on. :)
I hope you and your kids get to have a BIG backyard, and all the cardboard you could ever dream of. :)
@Ulla V. yu are too sweet :) we are working hard to get our little house, hopefully by then the kids will still want to play in cardboard houses.
ReplyDeleteOh how I would love for my kids to become architects! It must be so much fun seeing all her projects... Thanks for passing by :)
